Insulation Programme
The insulation programme of work to council properties targeted homes where there was insufficient cavity or loft insulation. However, because of the construction of some properties it is not always possible for cavity wall insulation to be installed.
Loft insulation
Loft insulation is one of the most effective ways to reduce heating costs. By adding up to 250mm of insulation, you can significantly cut heat loss, helping to reduce energy waste and save money on your bills.
Cavity wall insulation
Cavity wall insulation is one of the quickest and easiest ways to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Filling the cavity between external walls can save an average of £70 to £100 per year on fuel bills.
As well as saving money, cavity wall insulation helps keep your home warmer and more comfortable.
It creates a more even indoor temperature, reduces condensation on walls and ceilings, and can also help prevent overheating during hot summer weather.
