Improving Your Neighbourhood
Over the last six years, we have completed a wide range of improvement works across the Borough to make neighbourhoods safer, cleaner, and more pleasant places to live.
This work has included:
- Installing new and improved lighting in car parks, garage sites, and along footpaths
- Putting up new security fencing
- Removing old and disused storage sheds, garages, and bin housing areas
- Replacing worn or damaged paving and tarmac with new surfaces
- Creating scooter storage and charging areas at sheltered housing schemes
- Replacing front doors to meet Secure by Design standards and fire safety requirements
We plan to continue carrying out similar improvement works in future years.
These plans reflect the importance residents place not only on their homes, but also on the shared spaces and surroundings in their local communities.
