Tootles Tinies for Under 5s

  • Thursday, 11 September: Tick Tock Museum Clock

Calling all pre-schoolers, join us on a special Thursday of every month, between 11am and 12pm for storytelling, singing and crafting.

Be prepared to join in, make some noise and have some fun. No need to book just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free event, but donations welcomed. 


Friday Lunchtime Talks: George Eliot Fellowship Readings

The George Eliot Fellowship returns to the Museum to bring their annual programme of readings and poems from our locally born and world famous author George Eliot. Booking is essential.

FREE Saturday Make and Takes:  Second Hand September

  • 10:30am to 3:30pm

Come together for World Heritage Month as we create a mural of Riversley Park using recycled fabrics. No booking required, just drop in.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  All activities are free but donations welcomed.


Hands On History Saturdays

Saturday, 30 August: Us and Them

  • 11am to 3:15pm

This handling sessions will explore the relationship between humans and animals through Museum objects. This supplements our Temporary Exhibition in the White Gallery.  No need to book, just pop along and meet one of our Museum Access Assistants. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The activity is free but donations welcomed.


School Holidays Fun Time - FREE Make and Takes

Thank you for joining us on Thursdays and Fridays during the school summer holidays.  It was great to meet you all.  See you at half-term.

  • Activities run from 11am until 3:00pm and there is no need to book, just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The activity is free but donations welcomed.

To compliment the "Made in the Middle Exhibition", come along and find out more about historic craft techniques from Guarderobe. Drop in, no booking required.
