Collections

Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery’s collection contains over 15,000 objects and photographs.

The collection is a treasure trove of fascinating and intriguing artefacts and stories. It contains objects of travel and exploration from across the globe as well as 150 years of local memories from the Borough; the belongings of the rich and famous as well as familiar, everyday items; fossils over 150 million years old as well as 3D cinema glasses from 2014. Whatever your interests, there is something at the Museum and Art Gallery for everyone to enjoy.

Through permanent and changing exhibitions we display items from our decorative and fine art collections, social and industrial history, ethnography, archaeology and lots more. We also bring objects out of store for visitors to handle in our monthly Hands on History events.

New acquisitions

We care for and interpret the collection for people to enjoy today and in future. We also continue to collect objects which help us to tell the story of the Borough in line with our Collections Development Policy. Due to limited space and resources we cannot accept every object we are offered. If you have an object you would like to donate to the museum view our Collections Development Policy.
