Cremation plots
You can purchase the lease for a cremation plot for the interment of cremated remains at both Oaston Road and Marston Lane cemeteries.
To lease a plot
If you would like to lease a cremation plot to inter your loved one’s cremated remains.
- Ask your chosen funeral director to arrange this on your behalf.
- Contact our office to arrange a date for the interment and discuss the purchase of a cremation plot.
- Please see our interment form, this will need to be returned to us with the cremation certificate issued by the crematorium.
Where a cremation plot is purchased, the owner of the Exclusive Rights of Burial may choose to erect a memorial headstone.
These plots allow for a small memorial stone at the head of the grave with a lawned space in front. The lawned area should always be kept clear and will be maintained by the cemetery. Cremated remains plots are for cremated remains only and can accommodate up to two cremated remains interments. (If preferred, a full-size grave at single depth can be used for interring up to a maximum of six sets of cremated remains, but the grave would then be closed to full burials).
Any form of kerb memorial marking out the boundary of a cremated remains grave, including loose chippings or planting of any kind, is not allowed. It is not possible to select a particular plot, unless purchasing a second plot at the same time as an interment in a new cremated remains plot.
