Injunction Notice
On 21 November 2022, an application was made on behalf of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council, without notice to the defendants, requesting a stay of the Injunction Proceedings in the High Court under case number QB-2019-000616, pending the hearing of an appeal to the Supreme Court in the case of Wolverhampton City Council and Others v London Gypsies and Travellers and Others (UKSC 2022/0046) in which both Council’s are respondents.
An Order was made by Mr Justice Julian Knowles on 22 November 2022, granting the stay pending the hearing of the Supreme Court matter on 8 and 9 February 2023.
Therefore note that the hearing of the Injunction Proceedings in the High Court listed for 12 December 2022 has now been vacated. The Orders and applications associated with the above are listed below:
