Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is reminding residents of the changes to dates and times that services will operate during the festive period.
Customer Services will be unavailable during the festive period, with phone lines closing at 5pm on Wednesday, 24 December, and reopening at 9am on Friday, 2 January.
The Town Hall will close at 2pm on Wednesday, 24 and reopens at 10am on Friday, 2 January for appointments only.
However, information can still be found on the website along with further details of changes to our services, and out of hours emergencies can be notified on 02476 382 153.
Refuse and recycling collections
Changes to bin collection dates will take place to ensure that households still have their waste collected during the Christmas and New Year period.
Only households whose regular bin collections fall on Thursday and Friday will be affected by the changes.
- There will no bin collections on Thursday, 25 December, Friday, 26 December, and Thursday, 1 January 2026.
- These have been rescheduled to Saturday, 27 December, Sunday, 28 December, and Saturday, 3 January 2026.
Households can view their bin calendar online.
To guarantee you do not miss out on having your waste or recycling collected, bins should be presented by the usual time of 7am on the rescheduled collection date.
Remember, only additional cardboard that can fit inside an empty recycling bin with the lid closed can safely be collected by recycling crews.
Green bin subscriptions
The easiest way to sign up for the green bin service is online and is priced at £45 per bin per year.
Subscribers to the 2025/26 green bin service should note that they will continue to receive collections until Friday, 16 January 2026.
Residents should ensure they are signed up to the 2026/2027 green bin service by Friday, 16 January 2026, to receive their bin sticker on time, and to avoid missing out on collections when the new service begins on Monday, 2 February, 2026.
Residents can sign up for the service at any point throughout the year, however there are no discounts for part-year subscriptions.
