The Housing Ombudsman
The Housing Ombudsman published a revised Complaint Handling Code whihc became effective from April 2024.
A key requirement of the Complaint Handling Code is for all landlords to make an Annual Submission to the Housing Ombudsman. The Annual Submission must include four key elements:
- The Council’s self-assessment against the Complaint Handling Code
- The Council’s Annual Complaint Performance and Service Improvement Report
- The response of the Council’s Governing Body to the Service Improvement Report
- The Council’s Complaints Policy
- Publication of the Annual Complaint Performance and Service Improvement Report
This submission is part of the Council’s evidence to the Housing Ombudsman to demonstrate compliance with the Complaint Handling Code.
