Come along to this month's Hands on History event, 'Whatever the Weather', at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery to explore objects related to the sun, rain, and snow.

April’s changeable weather is the inspiration for the event that will be held on Saturday, 20 April, and invites visitors to explore a range of Museum artefacts relating to the weather, from instruments that measure the weather to garments that protect us from the sun and even dolls that were believed to control the rain.

Come rain or shine, come and join us for our weather-themed object handling event.

The Hands on History events represent a unique opportunity to handle some of the wonderful artefacts from the Museum’s collections. The sessions are free, and there is no need to book. Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 3:00pm in the George Eliot Gallery.

While at the Museum, why not check out our temporary exhibitions?

“Wiv Luv Larry” is our celebratory exhibition about local comedian Larry Grayson. Learn about his life in Larry’s own words.

As Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is 50 years old this year, our exhibition “50 Years of Change” looks at how things have changed during this time, from what we wear to how the borough looks.

For opening hours, visit the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery webpage.
