Local land charge searches
From 31st October 2025 we will no longer provide a local land charges search service.
After this date our Local Land Charges Register will have migrated to HM Land Registry's national register. You will be able to access a new digital service through Portal, Business Gateway and on HM Land Registry's GOV.UK pages. To facilitate the migration, NBBC will no longer accept LLC1 abd oersibak searcges after the 17th October 2025.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will continue to provide replies to Con29 enquiries.
It is important to remember to only submit the required fee of £135.60 when submitting a CON29 enquiry to us after 31st October 2025.

The Local Land Charges team carry out the statutory function of maintaining a register of restrictions imposed on land to secure payment of money or limiting the use to which that land can be put.
It also coordinates responses to formal enquiries about land from would-be purchasers.
Request a local land charge search
If you are submitting a search, ensure that the that the following is included:
- Full property address
- Correct fee is submitted
- Site location plan
Ensure that the plan is consistent with the description of the property on the LLC1 and CON29 forms.
We do not answer:
- CON29 question 4 (road proposals by private bodies), or;
- CON29 question 16 (mineral consultation and safeguarding areas)
Fees for each search type
Incorporating fee increases plus VAT on CON29.
- Full standard search (electronic) - £150.60 including VAT (your service provider may have additional charges)
- Full standard search (paper) - £156.60 including VAT (including any type of submission with payment by cheque or debit/credit card)
- LLC1 (electronic) - £15 (your service provider may have additional charges)
- LLC1 (paper) - £21
- CON29 (electronic or paper) - £135.60 including VAT (your service provider may have additional charges)
- CON29 optional questions - £25.20 each including VAT
- Additional written questions - £37.20 each including VAT
- Individual required questions - £2.40 each including VAT
- Extra parcel - £25.20 each including VAT
