Illegal advertisements
Adverts that do not comply with the advertising regulations can be unsightly and can cause a proliferation of illegal advertising. They are also unfair to businesses who do comply with the advertising regulations.
It is an offence not to comply with the Town and Country (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 and courts can fine offenders per offence committed. Complaints about illegal advertising are handled by planning enforcement.
