Picture of the Museum

The Museum is open tomorrow morning 10:30am until 1:30pm, and Saturday 10:30am until 4:30pm, and it’s free to visit.

After days of rain, the weather has finally perked up and the sun is shining. What better time to take a stroll in beautiful Riversley Park, pay a visit to Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery and enjoy a cup of tea at the Museum tearoom.

As well as permanent displays, they have two lovely exhibitions that have recently been installed.

Due to popular demand, they are again displaying their Larry Grayson exhibition! This updated exhibition, celebrating the centenary of locally born comic Larry Grayson, is on for a limited period this spring.

Learn about his life in Larry’s own words.  The exhibition features the letters he wrote to superfan Pauline as well as numerous images and ephemera collected by Margaret Kane.  The display also includes his big red book from ‘This is Your Life’ as well as many rarely seen private photographs on loan from his nephew Mike Malyon.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council turned 50 on 1 April 2024. To celebrate this milestone, the Museum’s ‘50 years of Change’ exhibition highlights some of the things that have changed over the last half a century. From jumpsuits to ‘Jackie’ annuals, perfumes to powder puffs, sim cards to sculptures, cameras to covid tests and Kindles to a new King. Find out about what we wore, how we communicated, what entertained us and how we celebrated.
