Two people dressed in Victorian clothing

Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery was thrilled to welcome more than 300 people to its Victorian Events Day.

Visitors were treated to magic lantern shows and talks about life from a Boer War veteran, got hands on with objects related to Victorian scientific discoveries and got creative making their own jigsaw puzzles.

For those who missed out, there is still plenty to come. The Museum’s Easter Holiday activities give children the chance get crafty.

On Wednesday, 1 April, the Museum will be 109 years old! So why not drop in between 10:30am and 1:00pm and 1:30pm and 4:00pm to help us celebrate.

Here are the activities we have planned:

  • Thursday, 2 April - Make a party hat
  • Friday, 3 April - Help us make some bunting

Inspired by the anniversary of the first human to go to space!

  • Thursday, 9 April - Make a cosmonaut mask
  • Friday, 10 April - Decorate your own fiery rocket

There is no need to book, just drop in. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

At busy times you may be asked to wait.

Remember, as with all the exhibitions, admission is free though donations are always welcomed.

While at the museum, why not check out the temporary exhibitions

For opening hours, visit the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery webpage.

Why not also follow the Museum on Facebook, where you can keep up to date with all of the events.
