The Elections Team at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council would like to remind residents about several key dates so they can ensure they are eligible to vote.

The polling date for this year’s Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council Elections is Thursday, 7 May, 2026.

Voters will be able to cast their votes for candidates representing 19 electoral wards at polling stations across the Borough.

There are several key dates to take into account with information available at the official Government website.

They are:

Tom Shardlow, Returning Officer and Chief Executive of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:

“I would advise anyone needing to register to vote, or applying for a postal vote, proxy vote or needing a voter authority certificate, to do so as soon as possible so they are eligible to cast their vote.’’

The count for the local elections will take place the day after the elections on Friday, 8 May, with results published on our election results website page and social media channels during the day.
