The polling date for this year’s Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council Elections is Thursday, 7 May, 2026. Voters will be able to cast their votes for candidates representing 19 electoral wards.
There are several key dates to take into account with information available at the official Government website.
They are:
- Register to vote - Monday, 20 April
- Apply to vote by post - 5pm Tuesday, 21 April
- Apply to vote by proxy - 5pm Tuesday, 28 April
- Apply for a Voter Authority Certificate - 5pm Tuesday, 28 April
Tom Shardlow, Returning Officer and Chief Executive of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:
“It is important that our residents exercise their right to vote on Thursday, 7 May.
“I would advise anyone needing to register to vote, or applying for a postal vote, proxy vote or needing a voter authority certificate, to do so as soon as possible so they are eligible to cast their vote.’’
The count for the local elections will take place the day after the elections on Friday, 8 May, with results published on our election results website page and social media channels during the day.
