Do not forget that you need to sign up to the 2026/27 green bin collection service by Sunday, 18 January, to ensure that you start to receive collections from Monday, 2 February.
The service costs £45 per bin for the year. Residents can sign up for a green bin online quickly and easily.
You can sign up at any time throughout the year but there are no discounts for part-year subscriptions.
Cllr Kath Price, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Public Services, said:
“Signing up by Sunday, 18 January, means you won’t miss any collections from Monday, 2 February, and signing up online is quick and easy.
“It makes sense to sign up now and ensure you can take advantage of the full year’s service.”
There are no green bin collections for the last two weeks of January 2025 (Monday, 19 January to Friday, 30 January) as the 2025/26 service ends today, Friday, 16 January.
