Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is looking for people who live in council housing to help improve housing services. We are asking tenants to join a group called Involved Tenants.
This group helps the council understand what tenants need and want. It is also part of the rules from the Social Housing Regulator, who says tenants must have a say in how housing services are run.
If you become an Involved Tenant, you will work with the Council for four years and take part in activities such as:
- Look at how the council works and how it spends money
- Give your opinion on changes or new ideas
- Try out services secretly (called "mystery shopping")
- Suggest ways to make housing services better
If you are interested, someone from the Council will talk to you and explain more. They will also support you while you take part.
Meetings will happen during the day and in the evening, so you can choose what works best for you. Lunch will be given at the meetings.
There is no deadline to apply – the Council is always looking for new people to join.
Cllr Chris Watkins, Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing, said:
“Our tenants are very important. We want to hear from them so we can make things better.
“This is a great chance for people to help shape the future of their homes and communities.”
Being an Involved Tenant means you can share your own experiences and help make housing services better for everyone.
