Invite the Mayor to an event
If you would like to invite the Mayor to a function, email firstname.lastname@example.org providing the following information:
- event title
- brief details of the event
- date of the event
- start and end time
If a Mayor from another Borough has also been invited, this must be mentioned in the invitation.
The Civic office will check the Mayor's availability. If the Mayor is unable to attend, the invitation may be extended to the Deputy Mayor. You will be advised in writing as to whether attendance by the Mayor or Deputy is possible.
If the Mayor or Deputy is able to attend, a standard questionnaire (Mayoral briefing form) will be sent to you.
- the questionnaire should be returned as soon as possible, and not later than 14 days before your event takes place
The opening address of your correspondence should read "Dear Mr/Madam Mayor".
