Inspecting contaminated land
The environmental protection team has a duty to inspect the land within its area to identify contaminated sites and act as an enforcing authority for contaminated land. The identification and safe re-use of contaminated land plays a key part in the sustainable development of the area. For more information, view our Contaminated Land Strategy 2010.
- We keep a register of all contaminated land, however, there is currently no entries on this register as no land had been declared contaminted under the Environmental Protection Act 1990
