A temporary path route that has been used by park visitors for much of the construction period at Bedworth Physical Activity Hub will be closed for removal from Wednesday, 16 September.
As a large proportion of the permanent path routes are now open, the temporary paths to the north and east of the building are set to be removed first.
For a limited period, some associated construction traffic will intermittently use a crossing point over the main path.
The BAM staff present on site will be managing vehicle movements and the flow of people across this pathway.
The popular Bedworth Parkrun group, who previously used the temporary paths, have switched their route to accommodate these works.
Plans are being discussed to create a permanent park landscape following the temporary path removal, which would see extensive grass seeding and tree planting activity over the autumn period.
Other upcoming works include the creation of a new permanent car park to the north of the Activity Hub building, as well as the instillation of the artificial football pitches before the end of this year.
Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:
“The removal of temporary pathways is an important step in driving this project forward to near completion.
“The park has really started to blossom over the last several months, especially following the competition of the skate park and many of the main pathways, and it has been amazing to see the volume of residents taking advantage of these green spaces.
“We’d like to ask park visitors to be considerate towards BAM staff over this period, following any signage instructions and requests from staff members.”
