At its meeting on Tuesday, 1 September, the Council’s Planning Applications Committee considered an item relating to the current, ongoing planning appeal concerning 212 Higham Lane, Nuneaton.
Following consideration of the matter, the Committee resolved that the Council will continue to defend the appeal.
The Council will continue to participate in the appeal process and will send its statement of case to the Planning Inspectorate in accordance with the timescales set for the appeal by Wednesday, 9 September.
Cllr Shane Coates-Jarman, Portfolio Holder for Planning, said:
“The Planning Committee met earlier this week and it was decided that the Council will defend the appeal against the proposed HMO development on Higham Lane, Nuneaton.
“We remain behind our position and will put forward a robust case as the appeal progresses."
