To coincide with the festival of Nuneaton, Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is putting the spotlight on local talent at the Riversley Park venue on Saturday, 5 September.
The popular session allowing visitors to handle and examine personal objects, photographs and scrapbooks closely related to local comedy star Larry Grayson returns.
These items will be out for one day only in the Museum’s meeting space.
A new exhibition by the Bulkington Art Group will be displayed on this day of local festivities, alongside current exhibitions including Maurice Collins’ collection of Ingenious Gadgets, and Abstract Art by local artist Carrie Boal.
Young visitors can learn how to make pipe cleaner creepy crawlies at one of the arts sessions.
The Museum & Art Gallery will also play host to stalls from other arts and culture organisations in ‘Our Picture Gallery’.
Organisations such as Art Alert, Festival of Arts Nuneaton and North Warwickshire Family History Society, Heritage Culture Warwickshire, Art in Action, and Warwickshire Libraries are all confirmed to be included.
Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:
“Nuneaton is home to some amazing talent, and it’s great to see Museum & Art Gallery giving these local stars the recognition they deserve once again.”
As with all the shows, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed, and there are also several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building.
