Bulkington Art Group aims to inspire people who otherwise would never dream of picking up a paintbrush to get out there and have a go.
The group was founded in 2015 by members of an Art Class in Bulkington Village Centre, who decided to continue to paint as a group once the class ended.
It has continued to expand, consisting of old and new local artists who use a range of different mediums and artistic styles and held several annual exhibitions and sales at Bulkington Village Centre and has exhibited in the Open Art Trail and Rope Walk Shopping Centre in Nuneaton.
Coming to Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery this month, the group is proud to showcase its latest exhibition featuring several new paintings which have not been shown before, with the display running from Saturday, 5 September until Saturday, 7 November.
It consists of a collection of artworks produced by the group of local artists over the last 10 years, showing the wide spectrum of their work in various mediums.
The display features 90 artworks, from watercolour, pencil and acrylic paint to pastel and graphite, and prints/cards of artworks will be available to purchase.
Bulkington Art Group’s exhibition aims to target all audiences who have an interest in art and always wished they could paint, from children to business people and the retired.
Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:
“This exhibition is to encourage all viewers that everyone has an artist within them waiting to get out and have a go at painting.

As with all the shows, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed, and there are also several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building.
