Big Bicycle Bash is returning to Bedworth on Sunday, 16 August for a day to celebrate all things cycling, including spectacular displays from Nuneaton BMX club, speed games and prizes.
With free entry, families can expect to enjoy a day filled with games and prizes, including freebies for those who cycle or walk to the event.
All types of bikes are welcome, with the Active Travel Team for Dr Bike offering safety inspections, advice or minor repairs, as well as bike marking.
There will also be a huge range of second-hand bicycles for all ages on sale for anyone who wants to pick up a bargain.
Smoothies and Ice creams are just a few of the treats at the bash, and Chubb’s Grub will be there to ensure no stomach goes empty.
Over the past year, the Council has heavily invested in the borough’s leisure and health facilities, which saw Nuneaton’s Pingles Leisure Centre and Jubilee Sports Centre undergo refurbishment, as well as the opening of Bedworth Physical Activity Hub (BPAH) in March 2026.
This event comes as the Council continues works on phase two of the BPAH, bringing an outdoor 3G sports pitch, a learn-to-ride area, and a skatepark to Bedworth in March 2027.
The Big Bicycle Bash will take place from 11am until 2pm at Miners’ Welfare Park, Bedworth, CV12 8JT.
Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio for Leisure and Health, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for a fulfilled family day out with games and prizes for everyone to enjoy.
“Biking is a great form of exercise, and with the new skate and bicycle hub coming to Bedworth soon, residents can have fun and stay active at the same time.
“Free events like this one bring together our communities to provide residents fun on a budget during tough times.”
