Nuneaton in the past

The event, which takes place on Friday 10 July at 12:30pm is organised by Nuneaton Local History Group and Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery.

As the borough continues to celebrate Nuneaton Market’s 800th anniversary, this slide show includes photos taken in the 19th century.

It features the eleven public houses that were in and around the Market Place in the 19th century.

There will also be a chance to visit the museum’s exhibition about the market both before and after the show.

Councillor Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and said:

“I am delighted that the Lunchtime Talks programme hosted by Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery continue to grow in popularity.

“These fantastic free talks are both entertaining and informative and are a great way to spend a lunch hour.”

The exhibition has been incredibly popular but must close this Saturday, 11 July.

Places are limited so booking is essential. To book your place call the Museum on 024 7637 6158 or email museum@nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk.
