Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery will be open in the afternoon of this Sunday, 28 June, enabling access for visitors who cannot visit during our normal opening hours.
This weekend is also the last chance to enjoy the Monochrome Experience by East Midlands Monochrome Group, showcasing the versatility of black and white photography.
The public will also have the chance to view To Market to Market, one of the museum’s most popular exhibitions about Nuneaton Market Place.
This features an artistic tour of the market from 1900 through to the present day.
There is a variety of activities for younger visitors, such as find the duck.
Sunday is also the annual George Eliot Wreath laying at the monument.
This event will be held at the George Elliot Gardens from 3pm until 5pm, so why not enjoy this spectacle during your visit.
Bobbie Greewnwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:
“It’s great that we are able to offer this special Sunday opening.
“This gives access on a day we are not normally open, supporting the George Eliot Fellowship’s efforts to promote the borough’s most famous daughter”
There is no need to book, just drop in, activities are free, but donations are welcomed. All children must be accompanied by an adult, at busy times visitors may be asked to wait.
