The Town Hall is becoming more accessible to residents of Nuneaton and Bedworth, as the Council confirms the front doors will open from 9am until 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Under the new administration’s commitment to transparency, the Council has listened to the people of the Borough, with this change being the first step in providing an efficient service to the public.
Where possible, customers will now have access to in-person support without a pre-booked appointment.
However, if the matter requires specialist support or cannot be handled during a walk-in visit, then an appointment will be arranged to ensure residents receive the relevant help they require quickly.
Cllr George Finch, Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said:
“During the election, many residents spoke of their struggles when attempting to access council services.
“Providing longer opening hours at the Town Hall is an important first step on delivering that promise.”
Cllr Mike Bannister, Portfolio Holder for Finance, Enabling Services and Communities, said:
“We are pleased to announce that we are opening our doors to the residents of our Borough.
“The previous hours did not provide enough flexibility for residents to access face-to-face support, causing frustration amongst the public.”
“We believe these changes will provide more opportunity for the public to seek support, demonstrating our commitment to enhance the services we provide to our communities.”
If you would like to pre-book prior to your visit, appointments can be made by contacting our Customer Services team on 024 7637 6376.
This change will not affect our Customer Service phone line opening times, which remain open from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Our website also allows for online service requests to be made anytime. This service can be used for reporting missed bins, fly-tipping, stray dogs, abandoned vehicles and more.
