A View of Florence with the old watermill on the River Arno hand coloured engraving by John Bowles.

The very popular “SimpleLine” exhibition is due to close this Saturday, 13 June, leaving just a few days for people to visit and see the works.

The exhibition reveals the variety of techniques and results which engravers used to create works of art.

As well as the set of works from Hogarth, called the Industrious Apprentice, there are landscape views from JMW Turner and Piranesi.

Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:

“This really is a tremendous exhibition and one which we have received many favourable comments about.

“For those who have a passion for engravings or just want a fun day out, join us at the Museum for an unforgettable experience!’’

While at the Museum why not check out the temporary exhibitions, Photographs by East Midlands Monochrome and the museum’s exhibition To Market To Market marking the 800th anniversary of Nuneaton Market.

There is no need to book, just drop in, activities are free, but donations are welcomed. All children must be accompanied by an adult, at busy times visitors may be asked to wait.
