A selection of clay tiles

This Saturday, 6 June, join us at the Museum for our “Make and Take” activity, design a clay tile from 10:30am to 3:30pm.

Inspired by our current temporary exhibition “A Simple Line- Prints and Engravings from our Collections” we invite our younger visitors to design their own clay tile using a range of printing and engraving techniques.

Cllr Bobbie Greenwood, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:

“This will be a fantastic event for youngsters, and they will have a lot of fun designing their own clay tiles.

“Our museum plays host to some fantastic activities and while visiting or getting involved you can visit our new exhibition on the landing which features Engravings and Prints from the museum’s collection which are not normally on display.

“There is also an exhibition about Nuneaton Market and a selection of monochrome photographs from the East Midlands Monochrome Group.’’

Once a month the Museum Access Assistants deliver a make and take activity which is free. To find out more, pick up a copy of the What’s on Guide from the museum.

There is no need to book, just drop in, activities are free, but donations are welcomed. All children must be accompanied by an adult, at busy times visitors may be asked to wait.

While at the Museum why not check out the temporary exhibitions.

For opening hours, visit the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery webpage.
