The Monochrome Experience at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery runs from Saturday, 25 April, until Saturday, 27 June.

The East Midlands Monochrome Group has returned to Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery for the first time since 2014.

Their touring exhibition features monochrome photography with the aim of promoting the beauty of the monochrome image.

The East Midlands Monochrome Group, founded in March 1999, was created with the mission of preserving and promoting monochrome photography.

Based in Sywell Village Hall, Northamptonshire, the group attracts both emerging and experienced talent, consisting of members from across the region.

Their annual touring exhibition features around 50 monochrome works, and this year the Group has returned to the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery to proudly showcase their photography.

This year’s touring exhibition features 46 carefully selected photographs, whether taken on film, slide, digital camera, or smart phone, to demonstrate the beauty of the monochrome image.

The photographic works range from picturesque landscape scenery to unique city views and floral images, vividly capturing unique moments in time.

A spokesperson for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said:

“For those who have a passion for monochrome photography or just want a fun day out, join us at the Museum for a family-friendly unforgettable experience.

“While at the Museum, why not take a look at our other temporary exhibitions, for example A Simple Line: prints and engravings, which features works from famous English painters, some of the greatest Italian printmakers, and the students of Rembrandt.’’

While at the Museum why not check out the temporary exhibitions.

Admission is free though donations are always welcome.
