This refurbishment is part of the Council’s commitment to providing high quality play facilities to communities across the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth.
During the week starting 23 March, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council will start work to remove some items of old equipment and will be installing an exciting new climbing and slide unit, suitable for children aged two to six years.
A group springer for up to three children to enjoy at once will also be installed at the same time.
The play area will need to be closed whilst the works are ongoing, which could be up to three weeks, depending on the weather.
Councillor Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:
“It’s great news that The Alders play area is due to benefit from this fabulous new equipment.
“The new climbing and slide unit will offer lots of versatile play options for younger children and the new springer sounds like it will provide many hours of fun.
“I very much look forward to seeing the finished play area once the work is fully completed.”
