Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council can confirm there will be no changes to Cabinet following a change in leadership.
Cllr Chris Watkins, who was removed as Leader of the Council following an Extraordinary Council meeting yesterday, 21 January, will continue in his role as Portfolio Holder for Housing, and has been appointed Deputy Leader.
Cllr Steve Hey was subsequently elected Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
The Cabinet remains unchanged, ensuring continuity and stability as it continues to deliver for residents across the borough.
Cllr Hey, Leader of the Council, said:
“I would like to thank Cllr Watkins for his leadership and commitment to Nuneaton and Bedworth.
“I am looking forward to continuing our good work together, building on the progress we have made and maintain a stable Cabinet focused on delivering for our communities.”
