Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is preparing to introduce a new and improved planning software system.
This is part of our ongoing commitment to modernising services and enhancing the experience for residents, applicants, and local businesses.
To support a smooth transition to the new system, there will be a period of planned downtime in early April 2026.
During this time, essential work will take place to migrate data and documents into the live environment.
As soon as the exact dates are confirmed, they will be communicated through our website and social media channels.
Throughout the downtime, the Planning Team will continue to process existing applications, although progress may be slower than usual due to restricted system access.
While the exact dates are not yet certain, there will be a period in Spring 2026 where we will ask applicants, where possible, to avoid submitting new planning applications until the upgrade is complete to help minimise disruption.
Cllr Tony Venson, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Enforcement, said:
“This upgrade marks an important step forward in improving how we deliver planning services.
“We appreciate the public’s patience during the upcoming downtime and look forward to providing a more modern and accessible service once the new system is in place.
“Updates will be provided as soon as further information becomes available, we thank you for your understanding and co-operation.’’
