The front of house and café have been remodelled, and the ground floor changing village has been refurbished.

In addition to this investment and forming part of the Council’s Corporate Plan objectives to promote healthy lifestyles, work is progressing well with the other exciting leisure projects that are due to be completed in 2026.

At Jubilee Sports Centre, the floodlit 3G all-weather pitch has been resurfaced and the exciting gym expansion commenced in early January. The majority of the works will be complete by the end of January 2026, with the sports hall floor finalised by the end of February. The new gym will now have separate areas for cardiovascular and weights.

The brand-new, state-of-the-art Bedworth Physical Activity Hub with capital investment of £30.6m from NBBC, Sport England and the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG), due for completion in March is also demonstrating significant advancement. Tiling in both pools is now complete, the health and fitness studios are very close to completion and external ground works are underway with completion of these areas expected in early Autumn.

Cllr Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:

“This refurbishment is truly outstanding, so much work has gone in to delivering a centre that helps provide visitors of all ages a wonderful selection of ultra-modern fitness choices to help enhance both physical and mental health.

“With the refurbishment works at the Jubilee Sports Centre progressing well and the new Bedworth Physical Activity Hub on track for completion in March, 2026 is set to be a momentous year for leisure in the Borough.”

Lloyd Barraclough, Everyone Active’s Area Contract Manager, said:

“The completion of the refurbishment at Pingles Leisure Centre is hugely exciting for the local community and we would encourage everyone to come down and experience the upgraded centre on their doorstep.

“The new and refurbished facilities will give people of all ages, interests and abilities a variety of ways to improve their health and wellbeing.”
