This winter take a moment to find out more about the rich history of the Nuneaton School of Art at the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery exhibition, which runs until 17 January 2026.
This celebration of the school’s impact on the area includes a look at key figures associated with its development like, Miles Balmford Sharp, Edward G. Hellawell and Geoff Yeomans, alongside a look at the curriculum as the years passed.
The exhibition includes artwork from the Museum’s collections by tutors and those who studied at the school.
The artworks include sculpture, ceramics, drawings, engravings watercolours and oils. There is also a chance to look at news clippings associated with the school.
Councillor Brady Hughes, Portfolio holder for Leisure and Health said:
“This is a great event for all ages. Younger visitors can experiment with being an art student by participating in drawing and modelling activities and people can find out about the history of the facility and take a look at the range of wonderful artworks.”
While at the museum, why not check out the temporary exhibitions. The Made in the Middle exhibition is a celebration of contemporary craft from across the Midlands.
Admission is free though donations are always welcome.
