Residents, businesses and visitors are invited to take part in a consultation on the proposed changes to the layout and security of Pool Bank Street car park in Nuneaton.
The proposals have been developed in response to feedback from the community, particularly around concerns with anti-social behaviour (ASB) in and around the site.
To address these issues, the Council is proposing a revised layout alongside the installation of gates which be secured after hours.
Interested parties can help shape the final proposals by sharing their views on the consultation before 5:00pm on Wednesday, 15 October.
This approach is designed to maintain access for residents and customers of nearby businesses during appropriate times while reducing the potential for misuse of the car park outside these periods.
Cllr Nicky King, Portfolio Holder for Business and Regeneration, said:
“We have listened carefully to the concerns raised by residents and businesses about anti-social behaviour at Pool Bank Street car park.
“These proposals aim to strike the right balance between ensuring continued access for local businesses and creating a safer, more welcoming environment.
“We want to work with the community to get this right, and I encourage as many people as possible to have their say before the consultation closes.”
