Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is urging all tenants to remain vigilant and never allow anyone into their homes without checking their ID.
This advice comes as part of the Council’s on-going commitment to keeping its residents safe and secure.
All Council staff and contractors are required to carry and present valid ID, with a photo, when visiting properties. If someone claims to be from the Council but cannot present proper ID, do not let them in.
What to look out for:
- Official Council photo ID badge
- Clear name, job title, and department
- Council logo
If in doubt:
- Do not let them in
- Call the Council to verify their identity
- Report any suspicious activity or behaviour to the Council
