There will be a change to the path route in Miners’ Welfare Park to allow work to continue around the new Physical Activity Hub building.
As part of the ongoing development works for the new Bedworth Physical Activity Hub, the path that runs from the rear car park at Bedworth Leisure Centre running across the old skate park will need to be closed.
The path will be closed off from Monday, 6 October, but the main path from the car park running uphill and North into the rest of the park will remain open and available.
The construction site fencing will be extended at the same time to allow earth redistribution works and land forming to begin in that part of the site.
Cllr Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Health, said:
“We apologise for this further small change to the temporary path network, but this is necessary to allow work to continue on the external park areas around the new Activity Hub building.
“We are grateful for your understanding and tolerance of occasional such changes as the works progress. We have worked with our construction partner BAM to minimise impacts on park users and to maximise the availability of paths for visitors to the park.
“Work is progressing well on the new building and the formation of the external areas will now start to take shape over the coming months, with the new skatepark due to be constructed during spring and summer next year.”
