Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery is celebrating the role that Nuneaton School of Art, now part of North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, has played in the cultural life of the area.
In addition to a show examining the history of the organisation, the Museum is putting together an alumni show of work by artists who have attended or taught at the institution and are now inviting people to submit work for the show.
Entries are limited to one piece of work per person and can be a piece that was created whilst at the school when it was known as the North Warwickshire College of Technology & Art, or a piece created recently. Also, if you wish to submit a piece of work by a family member who attended the Art School but is now deceased, you are welcome to do so.
The alumni exhibition will take place from the 29 November 2025 to 28 February 2026 in the Museum’s White Gallery.
To take part, contact the Museum by email to museum@nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk or by phone on 024 7637 6158 to receive an application pack. Alternatively, drop in to the Museum and collect a pack from reception.
All applications need to be submitted to the Museum by 31 October 2025.
Cllr Brady Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, said:
“It’s great to be able to celebrate the Nuneaton School of Art and the creativity which it has produced, in recent times as well as in its past.
“I urge former students and tutors to get involved and showcase the talent and ambition within the borough.”
While at the museum, why not check out the temporary exhibitions.
Admission is free though donations are always welcome.
