Installation will commence on 22 September and will take approximately two weeks, leaving a section of the play area open for users.

A brand-new play area will also be created at Bermuda Balancing Lake where a climbing frame, obstacle course and balance beams will all be installed.

This work will commence on 6 October and is estimated to be completed within two weeks. The immediate area will be temporarily fenced off leaving the rest of the park open to users.

The new equipment in both parks has been funded by Section 106 developer contributions.

Councillor Brady Hughes, Portfolio holder for Leisure and Health said:

“It is great news that two of our borough parks will be receiving new play equipment. One to replace old equipment and the other to create a brand-new play area for park users.

“We aim to install this equipment as swiftly as possible and minimise disruption to park users, please bear with us whilst we complete this work and we hope you all enjoy the finished results.”
