Last chance to see renowned artist Nicky Thompson’s exhibition The Art of Travel at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery.

The exhibition runs until Saturday, 20 September, and features more than 40 contemporary travel posters created by artist Nicky Thompson that evoke the golden age of travel.

More than 4,500 visitors have visited the exhibition, and it is proving to be a huge success.

Nicky is an artist, graphic designer and illustrator and has worked for Premier League football clubs including Liverpool, Everton and Manchester City.

In 2018 he designed and illustrated the book Discover Amazing Women by Rail which attracted national coverage and the following year his first solo show Made in Chester was launched at the Chester Grosvenor Museum.

October 2020 saw Nicky launch his gallery in the Gardens at Tatton Park, becoming the first artist since Quentin Blake to exhibit there, the exhibition featured 12 new wildlife artworks celebrating Cheshire’s wildlife.

“We are delighted Nicky’s fabulous work has been on show in our museum and are particularly pleased the show coincided with the Railway 200 celebrations this year.

“The exhibition has already proved to be an outstanding success, so please make sure to get to the museum to take advantage of Nicky’s work, including signed postcard sets, signed calendars, greetings cards and individual fine art postcards.

“Finally, as autumn approaches take the opportunity to visit and see some of other wonderful displays.’’
