New gym will boost town centre footfall
Published on Wednesday, 8th March 2017
Fitness fans in Nuneaton will soon welcome a new gym to the town centre.
NBBC has worked in partnership with The Ropewalk Shopping Centre to secure a deal with the UK’s leading gym operator and transform three empty units in the shopping centre adjacent to New Look.
PureGym provides low-cost, flexible and high-quality fitness facilities. The new site will open up fitness to the local community, as well as attracting more people to the town centre and creating new jobs. Users of the gym will enjoy two hours free parking at The Ropewalk, keeping down the cost of fitness and boosting town centre footfall.
Speaking about the new gym, Tony Wilkes, Manager of The Ropewalk, said:
“It’s exciting news that a major national company is keen to expand its operations in Nuneaton, it’s a positive reflection of the reputation and the development of the town centre. We’ve worked in partnership with the Council to make this happen, we’ve been creative and flexible to secure the right result.”
Dennis Harvey, Leader of the Council said:
“This is another exciting opportunity for the town, I am delighted that we have been able to attract such a successful national company to The Ropewalk. As a Council and as a Heart town, we are absolutely committed to raising standards of fitness so it is fantastic that Nuneaton residents will have access to another gym.”
It is anticipated that PureGym will take up occupation within Ropewalk in late Summer 2017.
