“I’m so thrilled to have won! This is a great competition and I’ve encouraged lots of other businesses to take part too. My family and friends have helped me with the display and it’s wonderful that our hard work has resulted in first prize.”

Second prize goes to Katz Fancy Dress for a window that “told a lovely Christmas story” and third prize goes to Accessorize for a display that was “simply stunning!”

Market entries by Jones’ Flowers in Nuneaton and Curio Collectibles in Bedworth brought “the joy and spirit of Christmas” and win special promotional prizes.

Special mentions go to entries from the Rotary Community Charity Shop for a ‘totally imaginative handmade display” and the Mayor’s Café by People in Action for “a homely, beautiful craft entry”.

The competition attracted 55 entries across the borough and a big social media buzz using the #NBxmaswindows16 and #NBxmaswindows2016.
