One of Melvyn Gunn's artworks

Local artist Melvyn Gunn’s acclaimed display is on show at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery until Saturday, 25 January.

“A wonderful exhibition, witty and talented”

“Inspiring, fantastic''

“Always a pleasure to see something that shows the town in a positive light”

These are just some of the comments about Melvyn Gunn’s exhibition which is closing after Saturday.

Melvyn started drawing as a child and has not stopped creating since and this exhibition includes painting, photography, Computer Aided Design and collage.

There are landscapes, portraits, animals and plenty of humour.

He is a frequent entrant to Nuneaton Festival of Arts with some of the works responses to special categories encouraging Melvyn to try new techniques and subject matter.

Melvyn has settled into his style over the years but continues to experiment with different media inspired by his visits to galleries across the world.

Many of the works are for sale and prices start at £50.

Councillor Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities and Health, said:

“It is great to see local talent on show, there is an amazing range of pictures in this exhibition all created by a local artist.

“This exhibition has proved to be popular and there are still several days left for visitors to enjoy and appreciate it.”

As with all our shows, admission is free though donations are always welcomed and there are also our other displays to enjoy throughout the building.

While at the Museum why not check out our temporary exhibitions?
