It's the Long Arm of the Law Family Fun Day
Published on Friday, 21st October 2016
Have you ever wondered what happened when policemen went off to fight in the war? Or wondered what it was like to be in a court 200 years ago? Well this is the event for you!
Saturday 22 October
11am until 4pm
Visitors to the Museum and Art Gallery, Nuneaton, can hear tales of Nathaniel Ringwood who talks about what life was like as a special policeman during WW2.
Happening History will be making their first visit to the museum. They will be recreating a trial from 200 years ago, come along at 11.45am, 1.35pm and 3.00pm to be part of the jury. Will you be tough or kind?
This week in the Blab we are testing out two stories related to law and order, drop into our display on the Landing Gallery and decide whether you think either of the stories should ultimately be added to the Local History Gallery.
There’s also a chance to make some noise when you visit our Musiquest Exhibition on loan from Techniquest in Cardiff.
“This is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the past and have fun!”
Cllr Ian Lloyd, portfolio holder for Arts and Leisure
There’s lots to do and the event is suitable for all ages, we ask that all children are accompanied by an adult.
The event is free.
