Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery is celebrating the changing of the season with a Hands on History event.
Leaves are Falling, Autumn is Calling, takes place on Saturday 19 October and visitors can delight in the pleasures of Autumn through a selection of museum objects that reflect the colour changes and sights of the woodland.
The regular Hands on History events represent a unique opportunity to handle some of the wonderful artefacts from the museum’s collections.
The sessions are free and there is no need to book, drop in between 11am and 4pm in the George Eliot Gallery.
Councillor Tim Jenkins, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Communities and Health said:
“The Museum’s handling sessions enable visitors to feel the excitement of real history in their hands!
“And Leaves are Falling, Autumn is Calling, ties in well with the change of seasons and has something for all of the family to enjoy.’’
While at the Museum why not check out the temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building.
Wild Winter, a touring exhibition from Blue Tokay brings together wildlife photography and science to encourage visitors to think about animals adapted to live in harsh winter environments.
For opening hours, visit the Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery webpage.
As with all the shows, admission is free, though donations are always welcomed, and there are also several temporary exhibitions to enjoy throughout the building.
