In March 2025 Plan for Neighbourhoods was announced, a £1.5 billion programme providing up to £20 million of funding and support over the next decade into 75 places from across the UK, including Bedworth. The Pride in Place Programme is an expansion of this and will see a further 169 locations, including Camp Hill in Nuneaton, also receive up to £20 million of funding over the next 10 years - the aim of which is to support regeneration and economic development.

Aims and Objectives

The Pride in Place Programme focuses on three core goals:

  1. Thriving Places: By investing in infrastructure, housing, and public services, the programme aims to create vibrant, sustainable communities where people can live, work, and thrive.
  2. Stronger Communities: The initiative seeks to foster a sense of belonging and community spirit, encouraging local engagement and participation in decision-making processes.
  3. Taking Back Control: Empowering local authorities and communities to have a greater say in their future, ensuring that development and growth are tailored to local needs and aspirations.

Timeline

  • July 2026: Neighbourhood Boards confirm finalised membership and any proposals to alter their place boundaries.
