There are so many advantages to taking up residence in an independent living scheme.
Your home is your own, without the hassle of maintenance and repairs
You are free to decorate and style your home as you please, add your stamp of individuality to feel completely comfortable with your surroundings. The added bonus is that property maintenance is included in the cost of the scheme. Dedicated staff visit daily to manage the upkeep of the buildings, inside and out, ensuring that equipment and facilities are in good working order, they will also assist residents with any housing related issues.
You retain your independence and freedom
Independent living schemes are designed for individuals who are independent and wish to remain so for as long as possible.
You are free to come and go as you please and are able to choose what level of interaction or participation you would like. If you like your own privacy that’s fine, you are free to live as anonymously as you like, keeping your own freedoms whilst taking advantage of the security of the scheme, whilst still living a truly independent life.
Vibrant social life and community activities
At most schemes you’ll find a great social life, friendship and community between residents available on your doorstep if you so wish. There are a host of social activities, events and classes on offer for you to attend. Pick and choose, knowing that the activities are there to visit as and when you feel like attending.
Security and peace of mind
All apartments have a 24-hour emergency call system. This will give you peace of mind that someone is available at the push of a button to contact friends, family or the emergency services when you need help. Staff are also available when required to help you access aids and adaptations and make referrals or signpost you to services.
