Request a clinical waste collection

  • we can provides a free clinical waste collection service to residents who have medical conditions that generate waste, which must be disposed of under controlled conditions
  • we will provide you with a yellow clinical waste bag after every Non-Sharps collection
  • we do not provide clinical bags for sharps collections
  • we do not provide Sharps boxes which are usually provided by your GP or Pharmacist

Clinical waste is classed as:

  • waste which poses a risk of infection
  • medicinal waste

Note: Used incontinence products are not classed as clinical waste and should be disposed of within the general waste bin. An extra general waste bin can be requested for free if needed for a large amount of incontinence products.
