Remembrance Day parades are held across the borough and the country, to remember and honour the service and sacrifice of those who have protected our country's way of life.

The parades serve as a public acknowledgment of the immense loss experienced in wars and conflicts, and they honor the dead, celebrate the peace and freedoms enjoyed today, and acknowledge shared history.
They are held on the second Sunday of November closest to the end of the World War 1, which was 11th November, which is known as Armistice Day.
In Ash Green, the Church service starts at 10am, before walking along to the War Memorial on St Giles Road for the Act of Remembrance and wreath laying. After the service there will be refreshments in the Church's main hall.
During the parade times - we will temporarily close roads on the route - Vicarage Lane, School Lane and St Giles Road.
Please be patient and we'll reopen them as soon as it's safe to do so.
